Shana currently works as the Vice President of D.L. Building Materials, a division of GMS Canada. In her role, she is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and overseeing the daily operations of the business. Her main focus points include growing the business in terms of revenue streams, ensuring high quality customer service and increasing profitability.

Before taking on this role, Shana worked as the Director of Finance & Administration for the same company. Her responsibilities included managing the finance and accounting divisions of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial reports and enhancing efficiencies through increased investment in technology and process controls. Prior to joining D.L. Building Materials, Shana held positions with the Royal Bank of Canada and Foreign Affairs as a policy advisor.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Labour Relations from Queen’s University and more recently has completed an Executive MBA with the University of Ottawa. With over 20 years of management experience, she brings structure and direction to her environment. Shana enjoys working in fast paced organizations with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. As part of her passion for community involvement, she has held roles on the Board of Directors for Families Matter Coop, a not-for-profit organization that helps support adults with development and intellectual disabilities.
